An Exhibit By Jordan Residential and Vocational Services Inc.
Jordan Residential and Vocational Services Inc. (JRVS) is a day program in Pueblo dedicated to empowering adults with developmental disabilities through community engagement, skill-building, and creative exploration. We are honored to share a special art project with the Pueblo Library that reflects the talent, imagination, and resilience of the individuals we serve.
The them of the project is "Trash to Treasure: Reimagining Possibility." For this initiative, our artists were challenged to create meaningful works of art using only recycled trash materials and miscellaneous craft scraps. Each individual conceptualized their piece, designed it, and brought it to life with care and originality.
"Hi! We are a group of extremely talented adults that attend a day program at Jordan Residential and Vocational Services, for adults with developmental disabilities. For our project we were challenged to create an idea, design it, and then bring it to life using only recycled trash materials, and a few random craft scrap pieces found. We then explained what inspires our ideas, and what it now means to us. We also named each of our creations."
This project not only encouraged creative expression and environmental awareness but also gave each artist the opportunity to share their voice and vision with the broader community. We hope the Pueblo Library and its visitors enjoy this inspiring collection and the stories behind each creation.
