Join Melissa in learning how to do all the steps to Drop-Spin your own yarn, and gain all the tools so you can keep doing it at home! For ages 10+.

This 6 part series will explore going from making your own tools, to ending with finished yarn! All supplies will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. You can take the entire series, or skip ones that you got to take before if you'd like. All under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied and monitored by a parent or guardian for safety in the space and in case one of the classes needs a waiver signed.

Part 1 Jan 17th: Make your own drop spindle - We'll provide all the supplies and tools and teach you how to make a drop spindle for you to take home!

Part 2 Jan 31st: Spinning 101 - Bring your drop spindle and we'll teach you the basics of how to spin string on it on roving we provide!

Part 3 Feb 7th: Advanced techniques - Bring your drop spindle to learn some further spinning techniques on roving we provide!

Part 4 Feb 21st: Lazy Kate - Get a basket for all your tools and materials you'll be gaining throughout the class!

Part 5 March 7th: Chain Plying - Ply the string you make in previous classes to turn it into yarn!

Part 6 March 21st: Niddy Noddy - Bring everything you made so far to make our own Niddy Noddy for finishing the yarn!
