Born and raised in Denver, Sonya found her heart in Pueblo, where she now teaches community-based art classes. A lifelong creative with a background in education and leadership, she’s passionate about helping others express themselves through art. When she’s not making art, she’s likely singing karaoke, crafting, or spending quality time with family, friends, and her miniature dachshund, Bella Luna.
Class Description: Discover the timeless craft of leather working in this hands-on, beginner-friendly class!
You’ll learn the fundamentals of working with leather, including how to cut, punch, and use essential tools with confidence. Whether you’re completely new to leatherwork or looking to build your skills in a new medium, this workshop is designed to be both fun and approachable.
By the end of the class, you’ll leave with a handcrafted leather item and the foundational skills to continue creating on your own. All tools and materials are provided. Just bring your curiosity and creativity!
Individual registration is required for all days. This class is for ages 16 and older. Participants under the age of 18 will need an adult present to sign their waiver. Waivers will be provided the day of.
