Background
Retired after a 40+ year engineering career
including 15 years as a structural engineer and

Center (TTCI) in Pueblo, Colorado. I grew up in a
small town in the Texas Panhandle and came to
Pueblo West in 2000 to work at TTCI.
Art Education
Largely self-taught.
Art Background and Goals
Drawing and painting have been hobbies since
childhood. In the late 1990’s, however, I decided
to take the creation process more seriously
striving to make each piece as professional as
possible and trying to develop the skills necessary
to make the transition from hobby to avocation.
Since retirement these efforts have taken on a new
intensity.
For many years primary inspiration came from the
visual excitement surrounding aviation and
motorsports. The availability of more time after
retirement, however, has allowed me to indulge in
another love and interest, the tremendous beauty of
the landscapes we have been blessed with in
Colorado and the western United States.
A number of motorsports images available as prints
can be seen on my website: www.kochartcenter.com
