VIRTUAL PROGRAM ONLY Unfortunately, the live in-person presentation is canceled. However, please join us on our YouTube for a special online presentation about The Dry. You won’t want to miss it!
Learn about the history of a farming community founded by African-American homesteaders South of Manzanola. Today, Alice (Craig) McDonald of Manzanola is one of the last local descendants of the original settlers of The Dry, which consisted primarily of Black settlers but also included limited numbers of white homesteaders who were already there. Hear from McDonald about her time and experience living at The Dry.
Program will be streamed on Pueblo Library Facebook and YouTube channels.
