Join us to learn about turtles and tortoises, and get to meet E.T., a Mojave desert tortoise!

Reptile diversity in the Southwest is wonderfully diverse and includes multiple species of turtles and tortoises. In this presentation Dr. Fran will talk about challenges to conservation of these animals, as well as local projects she is engaged in to protect box turtles and lizards. Everyone will also have the chance to meet a Mojave desert tortoise, which are a threatened species in the US.
