Making Jewelry out of Old China

Join Catie for using stained glass techniques, including soldering, for making your very own pendant! For ages 12 and up, people under 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

All materials provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. There may be a limit on some supplies per person to ensure everyone gets a chance at the activity. 

Safety warning: we will be soldering and using real glass and/or ceramic, so please come dressed protectively (closed-toed shoes, long pants) so as not to get burned and to try to avoid glass splinters. We will provide safety equipment including smoke absorbers, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection, but you are also welcome to bring your own. Please attend from the beginning of the event to receive full instruction, people who come in late will not be accommodated due to safety and instructional limitations. Children under the age of 18 must accompanied and monitored by a parent or guardian during the whole duration of the program. If you find yourself unable to attend, please cancel your registration and contact the library to let us know rather than taking a slot from someone who would be able to attend. There will be a waiver to sign.
