This collaboration between Pueblo School District 60, The Center for American Values, & the Pueblo Home of Heroes Association honor our military heroes.
In Pueblo, diversity, culture, and traditions are at the heart of our community. We would not be able to celebrate our diversity, culture, and traditions without the freedoms we enjoy as Americans; therefore, Pueblo School District 60 has partnered with the Center for American Values and Pueblo Home of Heroes Association to present the 10th Annual Pueblo School District 60 Pride and Patriotism Event in the Home of Heroes. This event is a tribute to our military heroes who have made extreme sacrifices to help sustain America’s values, allowing us to enjoy our diversity, culture, and traditions freely. It is imperative for our children and future generations to understand the sacrifices made for their freedom and three core values – honor, integrity, and patriotism – needed to sustain this freedom.
Pueblo School District 60 students are expected to participate in a collaborative art project, musical tributes, and/or writing contest honoring our military heroes. Students will focus on the theme Patriotism through the Decades through artistic mediums and written expression. The theme “Patriotism Through the Decades” honors the enduring spirit of our nation by reflecting on how patriotism has evolved across generations—through times of conflict, unity, progress, and change. From the sacrifices of wartime heroes to the voices of civic leaders, from the anthems that stirred hearts to the everyday acts of service that strengthen our communities, this theme captures the many ways Americans have expressed love for their country. This year’s celebration is especially meaningful as we commemorate the 10th annual Pride and Patriotism event—a decade of honoring students, veterans, and community members who embody the values of citizenship, resilience, and unity.
The main event will take place on November 13, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Hall.
