Did you know red pandas have flexible ankles that rotate 180 degrees that allow them to climb down trees head first? Or that wolves have long, lean legs balanced over wide feet with flexible toes, allowing for energy efficient locomotion, they can cover 50 plus miles a day! Find out more cool facts about these, and other threatened or endangered species, by visiting the Rawlings Library in September. This project is a collaboration between the Pueblo Zoo whose focus is on the conservation of species from around the world and the Nature & Wildlife Discovery Center (NWDC) whose focus is on native Colorado animals.

We hope these posters will educate anyone interested in learning more about species whose populations are at risk. Be sure to visit the "Conservation Actions" sections of each poster to discover steps you can take to reduce your impact on our environment.
